Site clearance in Nathon - trees, roots and wire removal

This job came from proximity. While we were finishing the pool pit excavation on the neighbouring plot, the owner of the adjacent site came over and asked if we could handle his plot. The excavator was already on site, no delivery needed - we wrapped up the first job and moved straight across.

That's a pattern we see regularly: once a crew is working in an area and the neighbours can see the pace and quality of the work, they want to use the same team. It saves time for everyone.

What needed to come out

The plot was heavily cluttered. Trees and root systems were the main task for the excavator. But the unusual element here was the wires - a large, tangled mass of cables had accumulated on the site, twisted through the vegetation. Getting those out cleanly without damaging the surrounding area required care.

The brief was rough clearance: large trees, root extraction, debris piles and the wire mass. The goal was to hand the site to the client's construction team in a state where they could begin their prep work.

One day

The Komatsu PC128 worked through the site systematically. Trees felled, roots extracted, debris and wire loaded out. By the end of the day the plot was clear.

The client's builders were on site the following morning. That turnaround - from cluttered to construction-ready in a single working day - is what makes a project like this worthwhile for everyone involved.
