Crocodile transport from Koh Samui to Phuket

We've hauled steel, poured concrete, moved construction equipment around the island. We've transported cattle and pigs for local farms. But this was a first for us - and quite possibly a first for any transport company on Koh Samui: a live crocodile shipment from the island to Phuket.

Samui Crocodile Farm needed a batch of their animals relocated. They called us.

Preparation

Unusual cargo means unusual paperwork. Before anything moved, we obtained all required permits for live animal transport. The documentation has to be in order for a consignment like this - no shortcuts.

The farm's team handled the animals on their end: each crocodile was wrapped in a cover and properly secured so nothing could shift during the journey. Our job was to keep them cool and get them there in one piece. Both trucks were covered with tarpaulins to block direct sunlight and hold a manageable temperature inside.

The run

Loading happened at night - cooler air is easier on the animals and the roads are clear. We caught the first ferry off the island and drove through to Phuket in the early morning, well before the heat of the day. Steady pace, no unnecessary stops, crew attentive the whole way.

Result

Every crocodile arrived in the same condition it left Samui. No incidents, no escapes, no damage. The client confirmed receipt and the animals were handed over as agreed.
